Summer Show: When Caterpillars Fly
All the animals have been invited to a summer
party and are busy preparing. Tobey the Turtle's
job is to make sure the little caterpillars get
on the bus, but Peter the Caterpillar is nowhere
to be found!
Peter misses the bus to the party, and the audience
discovers him searching for food. Children have
the opportunity to interact with Peter and feed
him some fruit.
Anxious to get to the party, Peter discovers
that he has missed the bus. Unfortunately he
ate so much fruit that his friends, Bee and Bird,
cannot give him a ride to the party! Sad that
he'll miss the party, Peter spins a cocoon and
decides to take a nap.
Magically, as he naps, Peter is transformed
from a caterpillar into a butterfly, and he is
able to fly and join his friends at the party!
A wonderful blend of music, puppetry, magic,
and storytelling, "When Caterpillars Fly" is
a fun illustration of the transformation that
caterpillars go through when they become butterflies!
